Z-Style Brand Guidelines
This scope of this project was to create brand guidelines for a company that was to be decided by the instructor. The company, Z-Style Rims was to be an online rim store, developed to sell customizable rims. The internal idea for the project was developed through the process of sharing logo and slogan ideas with peers as well as the instructor. I was then given the task of creating the logo for the company. Once the logo for the brand was clarified, it was onto organizing the rest of the information required for brand guidelines. Some of that information includes Logo specs, colour, photography, and type.
The design process for the guidelines development moved through the process with ease thanks to great communication and collaboration. It began with the initial concepts created from a sketchbook. The sketches were then turned into digital concepts and used as a presentation piece to show to the instructor. From there a visual starting point was established to help explain and relay the vision for the company. Three months were spent on the creation of the brand and the guidelines as well as the content to fill it. Once a final style had been chosen the branding and content followed naturally, matching the logo in style and typesetting. The brand guidelines were delivered in an 8.5″ x 11″ book style document. This was to employ an easy to print file, ready to be delivered to the client.
The outcome of this project was a well-developed brand and guidelines for Z-Style Rims. The project consisted of a logo letter mark and slogan with a bold, iconic and sharp style to it. The end result was a well-designed guideline and logo that catches the eye and more so lays out the important information for the marketing and advertising of a company.
