Dean McLellan Stonework

Project Objective

The objective of this project was to continue the client's branding into an online presence that reflected the company and looked comparable to similar companies online. The branding was continued from the original work I had done creating the logo for this particular company.

Target Audience

The target audience for this site is people interested in masonry and stonework not only as a service but as a hobby or passion.

Concept

The concept for this site was to make use of the client's collection of beautiful portfolio photos and display it prominently on the website. The use of bold colour was used not only to match the branding but to attract the attention of visitors similarly to other companies in the landscaping/stone wall industry.

Design Process

First in the design process for this website was to meet with the client and collect as much information about the business as possible and what they want their website to do. After I had collected some images and ideas, I went and researched some of the websites recommended by the client as inspiration. I then sorted through the images I was given to select the best ones for the main images throughout the website. Based on the inspiration from other websites and the photos/info given by the client I was able to start a rough wireframe that was presented to the client for approval. Once all the information was solidified and approved by the client I then proceeded to purchase the domains and started to build the website on the WordPress content management system, with hosting service provided on Lucas Design Studios' server. The site was optimized for search engines and connected to Google, Bing, and Yahoo search consoles before being proofed and released live.

Outcome

The result of this project was a well-received website with lots of great features and room to build on. The site continues to generate organic search traffic for itself due to the great work of the client and of course, the search engine optimization (SEO). The client is very happy that it is easy to work with me to update the site and add new features.

Accident Injury Claims

Concept

The concept was to simply create an elegant and clean website with information comprehensibly visible. The site needed to have an effective landing page and contact forms for the customers to easily be able to contact the business owner.

Project Objective

The project objective for this client was to create an online acquisition site to generate leads for their multiple clients. The site was to be modern and clean as well as contain multiple easy to access contact forms and a landing page.

Target Audience

The target audience for this site is adults seeking legal counsel in Ontario. These people will have suffered a personal injury, car injury or be in the process of filing a claim for the previously mentioned injuries.

Design Process

The first step for this website included working with the client to build content and sourcing images to match the client's vision for the site. While the client was creating content the landing pages framework and overall style were being crafted for presentation to the client. The client was pleased with the work done and was happy to use a template I had previously designed to finish the rest of the website. With the website being finished all that was left was to use the clients content to fill in the text of the site.

Outcome

The outcome for this website was a well-designed and modern site that is easy to use and acquires leads. The site is simple yet contains all the necessary information for the customers and tools for the client. It was a well-coordinated project that was completed and turned around efficiently and quickly for the client.
